Fundraising for sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ can not only be fun but help children start to become active global citizens capable of making a positive difference to the world. It can also develop important skills such as leadership, communication and teamwork.

There are lots of ways to raise money to help sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ ensure that every child has the best start in life, a safe place to learn and skills for the future. We’d love to have your support.

Fundraising ideas for schools

  1. Hold a book sale: Most people, including friends, family and neighbours, have boxes of books they no longer want. Why not ask if they will donate them for a book sale which you could hold after school?

  2. Organise a cake sale: Get the whole school baking and raising money with a cake sale.

  3. Have a non-uniform day: Organise a non-uniform or Christmas Jumper Day and suggest people donate £1 to sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½.

  4. Take part in a reading challenge: Set aside some time for a sponsored read. Children can ask people to sponsor their read and raise money based on the number of pages they read.

  5. Get active: Design your own sporting challenge where children can ask people to sponsor them. It could be to run or cycle a certain distance, set up an obstacle race in the playground or organise a danceathon.
