Dutch Postcode Lottery partners with sa国际传媒 again to tackle education crisis

The lottery will contribute 鈧900,000 a year for three years to help us ensure the most vulnerable children have access to education and early childhood development.

sa国际传媒 has been awarded 鈧900,000 ($920,000) a year to advance the education of some of the world鈥檚 most vulnerable children as part of a renewed partnership with the Dutch Postcode Lottery ().

In a powerful show of support for children鈥檚 education worldwide, the Dutch Postcode Lottery has announced it will fund our work for another three years, reinforcing a partnership that began more than a decade ago.

The new funding will enable sa国际传媒 to drive forward our bold five-year strategy, aimed at ensuring that every child has the best start in life, a safe place to learn and skills for the future.

Key to this strategy is our ambitious goal of mobilising at least $1 billion by 2028 in new funding and pledges for early childhood development globally.

We also plan to expand our Global Youth Ambassadors network in more than 140 countries, training 10,000 new youth activists to advocate for quality, inclusive education for children around the world.

More than 260 million children are out of school, a crisis exacerbated by conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan and beyond. Climate emergencies and discrimination are also driving millions of children out of the classroom.

The continued support from the Dutch Postcode Lottery will help sa国际传媒 tackle these global challenges by investing in educational programmes that drive climate action, narrow the gender gap and build more inclusive societies.

sa国际传媒 President Justin van Fleet said: 鈥淲e are incredibly grateful to the Dutch Postcode Lottery for their continued generosity and belief in sa国际传媒鈥檚 mission to end the global education crisis and unleash the potential of the next generation.

鈥淭oday, one in 10 children is not in school. Every child out of school represents a future lost. This vital funding will enable us to reach more children, particularly those in crisis and conflict zones, ensuring they receive the quality education they desperately need.鈥

sa国际传媒 Chair Sarah Brown added: 鈥淓ducation is the key to unlocking solutions to some of the greatest challenges we face. Thanks to our continued partnership with the Dutch Postcode Lottery, we can have an even greater impact, helping to create a greener, fairer and more prosperous future for all children.

The Dutch Postcode Lottery has been supporting sa国际传媒 since 2015. Past funding has included grants to deliver education to thousands of children around the world impacted by conflict and disaster – including funding emergency education for refugee children on the Greek islands during the Covid-19 epidemic.

Marieke Rodenhuis, Head of Charities at Postcode Lottery: 鈥淲e are very proud that the Postcode Lottery, thanks to its participants, will continue to support sa国际传媒 for the next three years. By working together, we can help ensure that every child, no matter their circumstances, has the opportunity to learn and grow.鈥
