One of A World at School鈥檚 has been honoured with a major African education award.

Philip Obaji Jr from Nigeria received the聽Future Africa Awards Prize In Education 2014 at a ceremony in Lagos. He said it was 鈥渁 joy鈥� to be honoured.

The award came just days after Philip p he made deep in northeastern Borno state in Nigeria to visit Boko Haram鈥檚 first ever camp.

Philip is an education and children鈥檚 rights activist, a marine biologist and founder of the . The advocacy organisation 鈥� launched in 2010 鈥� fights for the right to education for disadvantaged children, especially street children in northern Nigeria popularly called Almajiris.

The Future Africa Awards celebrate young Africans between the ages of 18 and 31.
