GPE releases developing countries progress report as Bangladesh becomes 60th partner

The GPE released the as it announced Bangladesh has become its 60th developing country partner 鈥 which makes it eligible for a grant of up to $100million over three years.
Bangladesh is aiming to make its pre-primary and primary school system more efficient and inclusive.聽Mostafizur Rahman, the country鈥檚 Minister of Primary and Mass Education, said:聽鈥淚 hope this new partnership will bring meaningful reform in the primary education sector.鈥
The GPE is made up of the 60 developing country governments, as well as donor governments, civil society/non-governmental organisations, teacher groups and others. Its mission is to galvanise and coordinate a global effort to provide a quality education to children, prioritising the poorest and most vulnerable.
