In the exclusive interview, conducted jointly with her mother, former teacher Pauline Macaulay, Sarah Brown says: 鈥榃hen I was growing up Pauline was a strong role model as a feminist, working mum and somebody who had gone back to a career after having children. She trained as a teacher, then a headteacher and has a PhD in social anthropology. Whatever glass ceiling exists, my mother鈥檚 always pushing it higher.鈥� The interview was given to coincide with Mother鈥檚 Day, on March 15.
