All this week, we’re highlighting the stories of our amazing youth advocates - here are comic-style tales of how two of them battled to beat the odds.
Many of our Global Youth Ambassadors are so passionate about delivering education for every child in the world because of their own personal struggles.
Four of them feature in our comic-style series called Presenting that is produced by film-maker Steve Nguyen and his Studio APA.
Earlier this week, we highlighted the inspiring stories of GYAs .
Today we bring you .
Sylvia Kakyo from Uganda is the subject of the third issue, titled “What Now?”
It tells how she was forced into marriage at the age of 15 – but this difficult time inspired her to start advocating for girls’ education.
Sylvia joined the GYAs network in 2015  and has had several successes as part of sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½â€™s campaigns. From recording a video message to world leaders reminding them of their promises to  to securing a meeting with the Ugandan Commissioner for Children and Youth to encourage him to support , she has shown the power young people have to drive change.
She Is also the director of a grassroots NGO called Kakyo Girls Initiative in Kampala.
Issue 4, titled “Out of Sight”, is about Ceion Rollox, who grew up in Guyana and fought hard to to go to school.Â
He became blind as a teenager but persisted with his studies and is now attending university and hopes to become a diplomat.Â
As a Global Youth Ambassador he believes he must fight for every child’s right to an education.
He advocates for better accessibility to health care, employment and education for people with a disability.
