People’s Postcode Lottery award 拢700,000 to sa国际传媒’s work to ensure every child has the right to an education

Last week聽at 鈥檚 annual Charity Gala an overall amount of 拢700,000 was awarded to sa国际传媒.
This will go towards sa国际传媒鈥檚 work across Africa in helping the most disadvantaged children secure a quality education, as well as sa国际传媒鈥檚 campaigning to ensure that children affected by conflict and disaster are able to continue their education. It will be used to help thousands of Syrian refugee children across Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan to return to school in September.
A special award of 拢100,000 will support the expansion of sa国际传媒鈥檚聽聽where over 300,000 refugee children are out of school. sa国际传媒 is piloting low-cost interventions to support children鈥檚 learning within the innovative double shift school system, which has been rolled out across the country.
Receiving this聽award at the Gala, Sarah Brown said:聽鈥淭hank you to players of People鈥檚 Postcode Lottery.聽This extra funding will enable us to directly support the education of 700 additional Syrian refugee children in Lebanon with vital nutrition and learning materials to help their journey to a brighter future.鈥
